Like many breeders, I seem to have accumulated a number of neuters - retired breeding cats or those that somehow never found a home with anyone else! I thought it was only fair that I should show them off on my website just as with my breeding queens and studs. On the left is Rusty (Vervain Rowan Redcloud), a red Burmese neutered boy born in June 2002. I had thoughts of him being a stud boy, but he was always so soft and loving that I couldn't ever have had him living outside - so he was neutered and he's now my example to potential kitten buyers of how a neutered boy makes the most wonderful pet - he always likes to meet visitors and usually demands to be picked up and cuddled! The photo is by Toly and Valentina.

Penny is my second oldest cat at the moment, she was 10 in March 2005. Her proper name is Merinda Penny Drops and she is a caramel shaded Tiffanie. Penny gave me several lovely litters while she was a breeding queen - all of my current Asian girls, and Freddie my stud boy, have Penny in their ancestry! She is a sweet gentle girl who gets on well with everyone and always seems to be happy. I am very grateful to Ann Harmon, Penny's breeder, for letting me have her back in 1995. This is another photo by Toly and Valentina.

Daisy is Penny's daughter from her first litter, in January 1997. Otherwise known as Vervain Ananya, she is a lilac tortie shaded Burmilla - her dad was Fergus (Ch Pegavi Frey), my cream Burmese boy who is now neutered and happily living in a new home with a son of his! Daisy had several litters of her own before being neutered in 2004. Beth (see "Girls" page) is her granddaughter. Daisy is a great friend of Rosa's (see below) and I often find them sleeping together. This photo by Alan Robinson.

Rosa (Vervain Coraldawn) is currently the elder statesman (statescat?) in this house. She was 13 in October 2007, and like Rusty, she is a red Burmese. Her mum was my Cecily (Vervain Cecily Parsley, now deceased) and dad Supreme Grand Champion Chathera Saiwan Sparky (another red) Rosa is the only one of my cats who is permitted to go outdoors - she doesn't go very far but still manages to catch birds and rodents on a regular basis, and we have to watch her as she is always keen to jump into cars! She is quite a character - she was never a successful breeding queen as she unfortunately had problems giving birth to both of her litters. In this photo she is sitting with some Burmese kittens (her great-grandchildren in fact) - she's usually very tolerant of kittens but does get fed up when they want to play with her tail!

Nutmeg is Rosa's grand-daughter, and she was born in May 1998. Otherwise known as Vervain Rosella, she is a brown tortie Burmese, and has been an excellent mother to 6 litters in total, her final kittens being born when she was 8 and a half years of age. I have kept a Burmese daughter of hers - Willow (see the Girls page). She is the 4th generation of my Burmese breeding line and has carried on the tortie tradition! She still likes to look after kittens even when they're not her own.
