My studs are available to suitable queens recently tested for FeLV/FIV - they all live in comfortable heated outdoor accommodation with equally comfortable adjacent pens and runs for visiting queens. All matings are supervised and no sharing of food/water bowls or litter trays is permitted, to minimise risk of cross-infection. I have many years' experience of stud ownership and am always happy to give help and advice on suitability of matings and possible kitten colours. Enquiries about the boys are very welcome - email or telephone 01777 249075. Please note: I strongly believe that breeding restrictions are destroying many of our pedigree breeds, therefore I do not place unreasonable restrictions on my boys' progeny. If queen owners wish to breed from a kitten sired by one of my studs, I would be happy to discuss this.
I have included the inbreeding coefficients for all of my boys; bear in mind that the average for Burmese and Ocicat breeds is around 20-25% over 16 generations. Also consider that the majority of Burmese studs in the UK have a coefficient of over 25% (16 generations). It is meaningless to use less than 8 generations for calculation of inbreeding - ideally it should be calculated right back to foundation, which is around 16 generations in Ocicats and 20-30 generations in Burmese, depending on ancestry. With Asians the calculation is not quite so accurate as I have been unable to trace Chinchilla lines back beyond the 1940s or so. However the Chinchilla contribution to my Asian lines is now very small.
Asian
Currently I have no Asian studs. I intend to breed only silver Burmillas in future and am looking for a new boy next year.
Burmese
Errol(Eros de Grainoge) is a very handsome chocolate boy, imported from France in July 2010. His pedigree combines Australian, European and old UK lines with no contemporary US lines whatsoever. I am very keen to introduce some new blood to the UK Burmese gene pool due to the serious inbreeding problem that is developing here. He has a beautiful pale milk chocolate coat and excellent overall type (photo taken when he was younger, a new one to be posted soon). Sadly, Errol cannot be registered as a Burmese with GCCF due to the very restrictive breed registration policy, but he is now registered with TICA and I will continue to promote the necessity of outcrossing. He was bred by Prue Kerr, a longstanding, well respected breeder and judge of Burmese and Burmillas. Inbreeding 0% (8 generations), 15.5% (16 generations). GM tested negative.
Ocicat
Levi (Ch Aalspotz Levi) is a blue boy currently "on loan" from Sue Threapleton of Aalspotz. Levi is a good outcross for my girls. He has an excellent clear pattern with good contrast and also carries Classic. COI 8.5% (8 generations), 26.6% (16 generations)
